Osmoses treatment

Osmoses is a degenerative process in glass fibre laminate which is caused by a chemical reaction between water and substances in the ships hull. Moisture will go through the gel coat and create a reaction with the chemicals until acids appear. These acid materials build up pressure behind the gel coat, because of this process blisters, cracks and eventually delaminations will appear. When the gel coat is damaged by this process the laminate will suck up water like a sponge. As an officially recognized Osmoses treatment centre we are more than capable of solving this problem. Our Hotvac drying system can significantly shorten the drying period and resulting in a perfect finish.
